Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 from 1937 to January 19th January 19, 2008) was an American film, theatre TV, and voice actress. 1 Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and began appearing in films in the late 1950s. She later appeared in films with a prominent name like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). From 1972 to 1978, Pleshette would appear regularly in a variety of television shows. She also played Emily Hartley, which earned numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31 of 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and choreographer who appeared on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
