Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles in a middle-class family. Her childhood was filled with big dreams. Her most memorable roles include the film about spying, Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol and the thriller Precious. When she was a child Paula Patton grew up in an Los Angeles middle-class household. The mother of her children was a film lover and encouraged her to love movies as a young person. Paula was a participant in co-curricular programs at her school and enjoyed drama. She was a huge fan of acting with her classmates and took part in school's stage shows. She performed in numerous high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and decided to take up acting as a profession. In a summer program offered by the University of Southern California, she had a blast there. She was awarded a three-month project making documentaries for PBS. The first assignment was to be a production assist for TV documentaries, after completing her assignment. Her next step was to begin producing documentaries. Even though she loved the work she was doing, she yearned for acting roles. She began her journey into acting with a role as Will Smith's co-star on romance comedy Hitch. In the years since, she's appeared in many movies and shows.
