Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's acting debut was in the role of Flora McGrath. For this part, she was awarded the Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for the romantic comedy The Piano at the young age of 11. The actress is second youngest recipient in Oscar the history of Oscars. Paquin played Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997 her character was the Spanish queen in a smaller part. The actress played teens on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) as well as the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa as a character in Almost Famous (2000).
